16th Dhaka International Film Festival ends Popular producer and actor Tauqir Ahmed has been elected the best producer for the film.
Bangladesh Panorama has been selected as the best Bangladeshi film 'Sohagir Gana' and 'Halda'
The 16th Dhaka International Film Festival ended on January 12 Turkish film 'Jar', based on the Darshim genocide, has been selected as the best film in the festival. The best producer is Turkey, Dah (More), a dual-sial for the film. On the other hand, Bangladesh Panorama has been selected as the best Bangladeshi film 'Sohagir Gana' and 'Halda'. Tauqir Ahmed was elected the best producer for the film.
The closing ceremony of the festival was organized at the National Museum of the capital Dhaka. Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor attended the function as the chief guest. Secretary of the Ministry of Information, Nasiruddin Ahmed, Ambassador of the Philippines Vicente Viventeo T. Bandelio was the special guest.
This year, 23 titles have been announced in 7 categories. Badal Rahman Award for Children's Film category 'White Bridge' directed by Iran's Ali Gabatan. The children of the children who gave up the prize of the best children's film in Rajshahi, leaving the Muffler to stop the train accident. The Best Odyssey Award has won the title of 'Tope' directed by Buddha Dasgupta, India's renowned creator.
This year, four films have been scanned in the women's film category.
The best woman producer was nominated by Kyrgyz Kovelnikko of Russia, 'Sophisha'.
The documentary film has won the Special Mention Award, 'Thank You for the Rain' by Julia Dar, producer of Norway and UK.
The maker of Afghanistan has won the best documentary figure of women producer. Sara Kareemi 'Parliki'
Special Menon won the award for short film by the maker of Alice Viale, France's creator, 'Les Biergonox'.
Petra Priorbrosch Films 'Anna', the Republic of Czech Republic, has won the Best Short Film Award.
Khandaker Sumon has been selected as the 'Best Practical' in the category of short and free film category by Special Mentioned Short Fiction.
The best short fiction was selected by Iraq's producer Baqar al-Rabeye's film 'Violet'.
Special Menon Short Documentary has been selected by Nepalese producer Pradeep Pokrell's film 'A Sone for Barapak'.
The best short documentary film has been selected by UK producer Peito Navello's Continental Drift.
