He said this while inaugurating Livestock Week-2018 at Krishibid Institution Bangladesh (KIB) in Dharbari, Farmgate, on Saturday.
Abdul Hamid said, "Maintaining fisheries and livestock is a big and potential sector for the creation and investment of employment. Ensure the quality of production to increase export competitiveness. '
The President laid emphasis on establishing necessary infrastructure, laboratory, capacity building and legal framework to ensure proper quality of production at all levels.
At this time, due to the demand of the goods and the balance of the goods, consumers are now getting the eggs, milk and meat at logical prices, President Abdul Hamid said, 'Do not think about the convenience of consumers only. At the same time, give priority to economic security of the producers. '
In addition to maintaining the fair value of the product, the President also urged all concerned to look into the export earnings of this sector.
Referring to the activities of some corrupt businessmen who were involved in taking various privileges in the past, the President said their activities have severely hampered the country's prospects and the country's image has been damaged in foreign countries.
Referring to the global export market as very competitive, he said, "Our product must be the best. If there is any irregularity and corruption in this case, strict action will be taken against him.
President Abdul Hamid urged all to provide better services to the production of safe and quality food products by ensuring digital services in the livestock sector by implementing the dream of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to fulfill the dream of Bangladesh's sustainable development target 2030 and achievement of self-reliance in food.
