Ten years later, TTP claimed responsibility for killing Benazir

Former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto was killed in a suicide attack on the election rally in Rawalpindi on 27 December 2007. Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has admitted responsibility for the incident over 10 years after the killings.

TTP leader Abu Mansoor claimed responsibility for the murder in book 'Inkilab Mehsud South Waziristan from British Raj to American Imperialism', published by Asim Mufti Noor Wali, several international press reports said.

According to the book, Benazir Bhutto's assassination, Benazir Bhutto planned with America that he would again fight against Mujahidid-e-Islam. That's why he was killed. Information about his plans with the US came to TTP leader Baitullah. Then the plan was to kill.

Before accepting responsibility in the TTP book, no group claimed responsibility for Benazir Bhutto's assassination. Although former President General Pervez Musharraf blamed the TTP for the assassination.

It is also said in the book that two suicide bombers, named Bilal and Ikramullah, were ordered to kill Benazir. Bilal pistol shot at Benazir first and it goes to his neck. Then in the public meeting, he opened his explosive jacket and exploded himself.

The Taliban members carried out suicide attacks in another rally in Benazir Bhutto in Karachi in October 2007. About 140 people were killed in the attack but survived the former Prime Minister Benazir. Despite this bloody attack, General Musharraf's government did not take necessary security measures in Bhutto's public meeting. That is why the book claimed that he was easily killed in Rawalpindi's public meeting and was killed.

Until the 10th anniversary of Bhutto's death, the TTP denied the allegation of his involvement in the killings. It is not known why the reasons for accepting it now.
