City Economic Zone got final approval

Bangladesh Economic Zone Authority (BEJA) has issued the final license to the City Economic Zone, the City of the Associated Group of the country, the City Economic Zone.

Today, Executive Director of Bager Paban Chowdhury handed over the license to Fazlur Rahman, Managing Director of City Group, at a ceremony held at Beja conference room in the city's Kawran market on Tuesday.

Bager executive member said. Emdadul Haque, Md. Ayub, City Group director. Hasan and Shampa Rahman officials of Beja-City Group were also present.

It is said that City Economic Zone Limited is situated on the bank of the Shitalakkhya river, about two kilometers from Dhaka-Sylhet highway, on 77.9655 acres of land in Rupganj upazila of Narayanganj district.

This zone will make significant contributions to industrialization, employment generation, domestic and foreign investment and GDP. Meanwhile, work on the land filled with soil and construction of boundary wall is going on fast.

For this zone, LC has been opened for importing capital machineries of 3d industries such as Sid Crushing, Autoriz and Dal Mill and Edible Oil Industries.

The ECONOMIC zone has electricity and gas connections which will be provided to the investors concerned. There will be all the environment friendly arrangements including water and waste disposal plant, fire extinguishing system.

The proposed industries include Food and Beverage and Export National Art. After commercial production, about 3,000 jobs will be created here. Which will be more than 20 thousand in the next 5 years.

City Group Managing Director Fazlur Rahman said, the City Group has been contributing to the economy of the country. In the next 3 to 5 years, the City Economic Zone will be useful for commercial activities.

He said this year 100 million investment will be made in this zone. According to production every year the amount of investment will be double. With this, the amount of employment will increase every year.

Successful businessman said most of the industries of the City Group will be here. Especially food industries We will invest in shares based on the investment in Japan, Korea and other countries.

BANG Executive Chairman Paban Chowdhury thanked City Economic Zones Limited for getting the final license in the Speaker's speech, said the City Group will be able to implement this zone successfully.

This zone will play a role in the economic development of the country. We will encourage foreign investment in this zone. City Group has applied for approval of two more zones. Which will be presented at the next board meeting.

He said that the work of Mirsarai Economic Zone, Naf Tourism Park and Maheshkhali Economic Zone was going on fast. Many local and foreign companies are coming forward to invest in these zones.

He said, once the Economic Zone dream is a reality now. The economical zones needed to be processed, it has been possible only in three years. Myanmar took an economic zone to 25 years.

Fazlur Rahman said, 20 years in India. Investors do not want to give me six months to zone in our country. The country's economic zones will be the investment capital. These zones will contribute directly to the economy in the next 2 to 3 years.
