Every year, on the occasion of the 70th competition, the Horse Race ground becomes a village fair. People gathering horse races, festivals with local food, and enjoy the races competition.

In the race competition, 28 contestants from Khulna Division, Khulna Division, and Khulna Division participated in horse race competition with their own horses.

Zahir of Baghparpara district and Habibbar of Sadkhalir earned second position in the competition. Besides, jointly acquired third place, Uthman Chowdhury and Dakshakshi union of Abhaynagar earned the third place. In the first place of the competition, the recipient is paid Tk 6,000 in cash as gift, second and third place holders respectively, Tk 4 thousand and 2 thousand respectively. Apart from this, Tk 1000 was given to every participant.

After the competition, Additional Deputy Commissioner Hussein Shawkat gave the prize money to the winners as the chief guest. District Awami League Organizing Secretary and Isali Union Parishad Chairman SM Afzal Hossain presided over the function. The meeting was also attended among others, including Jessore Sadar Upazila Awami League leader Master Rabiul Islam, Isali Union Awami League organizing secretary Mizanur Rahman and local dignitaries.
