IGP 'is' Javed Patwari-আইজিপি ‘হচ্ছেন’ জাবেদ পাটোয়ারী

 The Additional Inspector General of Police (SB) is going to be appointed as the next Inspector General (IG) of the IG, Mohammad Javed Patwary.

A senior official of the Home Ministry told DhakaTimes: "Javed Patwari is in the news about the issue, but it has not been finalized yet. It is a matter of government's top decision.

There is no chance to publish political beliefs or opinions through government jobs. Nevertheless, the head of the police is not recruited in the student life or the anti-government ideology of the government. And when the issue of tackling the opposition movement or chaos in the last year of the government comes forward, more caution is being adopted. The Home Ministry official said that everything will be decided by appointment.

Current IGP AKM Shahidul Haque will retire on January 31. He will be replaced by Javed Patwari. And there is a publicity that Shahidul Haque may be secretary in the President's quota.

Javed Patwary, a postgraduate from Dhaka University, passed the BCS examination and joined the service as assistant police super in 1986.

The official of the 1984 batch has been working in the rank of Additional Inspector General under one step of the highest position in the police, by introducing the skills and qualifications of the job. A source from the Prime Minister's Office said that the prime minister believes in her. His employment expires till April 2020.

In 2013, promoted to Grade-1 in the rank of Secretary, Police Special Branch (SB) chief Javed Patwary got the promotion. He is known to be the official of the transparent image of the police administration.

Present IGP K Shahidul Haque was appointed as the Police Chief on December 31, 2014.

AKM Shahidul Haque, who passed the BCS examination in 1984, joined the service as Assistant Superintendent of Police in 1986. Later, he served as Superintendent of Police in Chandpur, Maulvibazar, Chittagong and Sirajganj districts.
